I wish it were true that Connecticut's fiscal house is in order and we are well-situated to weather the fiscal storm brewing mightily at the federal level.
But wishing things to be true does NOT lead to wise and prudent public policy.
Get while the getting is good...this seems to be the fiscal strategy of Hartford Democrats who are spending your money without abandon, and deciding what you believe.
(1) "Baby Bonds." These are taxpayer-funded baby trust funds.
(2) HUSKY B health insurance expanded to include undocumented children up to 19 years of age.
(3) Feminine hygiene products in boys' bathrooms in CT schools K to 12.
Connecticut's spending problem is your problem.
